In 2014, ISIS captured the Iraqi city of Mosul. It was divided in two. The right bank of the Tigris was controlled by ISIS, the left by government forces. In 2017, an international coalition repelled the Islamic State. The city was destroyed in the process. To this day, the people of Mosul are trying to heal the wounds of that time. The city's river, the Tigris, promises healing but is also a danger – every summer, dozens of children drown in its currents. A unit of lifeguards led by the charismatic General Faisal fights for every life.
